The only real difference between white scratchboard and black scratchboard is you get to chose the color and the placement of that color. This is not to say one is better than the other, each one is great depending on the effect you want. I can't even say I have a preference. I love to work with scratchboard.

| Diana Lee The most interesting story about this piece concerns the green/gray design in the red triangle in the lower left corner. It would appear to be the same color as the green/gray of the tile in the right foreground. It is an optical illusion. Actually it is significantly darker. The surrounding red absorbed the green making it appear white, so I made the design a much darker green to compensate. |

| Diana Lee This is a self portrait of a younger me wearing my grandma's hat. It's thirty years later and it is still my favorite hat. |
