 I Paint a lot at concerts, in my studio, and just about everywhere I can. Feeding off the energy of a good musical group is truely amazing and definitly gives a totally unique quality to the finished paintings. I've been painting for years and it is what consumes most of my free days and evenings. | Sean Poole I painted this during a Dark Star Orchestra concert at The Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA on 11/29/06. I usually do a painting of the band and the energy of them and their music infused with the audience... but this night I chose to swich back and forth between my typical style of live painting and a totally abstract piece...which ended up becomeing this one... I like it a lot and am glad I pushed myself in a different direction. |

| Sean Poole I painted this during a Soulive concert at the All Good Music Festival in West Virginia on 1/17/04.
The reason I named it "Franken Soul" is because instead of just priming the masonite board like I have done 100 times over I used heavy duty glue and attached a bunch of my extra pieces of canvas that were trimmed off when I stretched them.
Sooo, this is masonite with canvas ontop.

| Sean Poole This is Oils on primed messonite board.
I painted it in my studio in complete darkness. It was very interesting and disorienting painting without any light source at all. I guess you could say it made me dizzy in a good kind of way. I didn't pick any colors out before turning the lights off...just placed my board down and dipped my hand into the bucket of paints. |
