I've been an artist for as far back as I can remember. I started with pencil drawings of characters in public school and migrated into full blown color scetches by the onset of highschool. After completing my first comic book, I got a computer and entered the world of digital art. Using programs such as photoshop. Dave Robson This piece was painted in 1997, the year I took Illustration. As part of the life drawing we also painted live subjects. The paint used is acrylic on bristol board, which when turned over provides a similar texture found on canvas and much cheaper.
