About the Disrepair Project The Disrepair Project is a small artisan clothing design studio located in Portland, Oregon. Essentially, Disrepair is a laboratory for creating new life forms out of the scraps of the old. Picture Dr. Frankenstein's monster, only made out of clothes. The premise is that vintage and found materials lend unique character to clothing design and offer an alternative to mass marketed style, while also reducing the social, ecological, and economic costs associated with new materials. Elijah stepp Completely reassembled jacket made from upcycled vintage suits, military uniforms, pants, lace, mesh, shirts, and more. One shoulder pocket and four front pockets. Lined with smooth black polyester from vintage overcoat lining. Striking high collar. Lots of quilting, rough, frayed edges, distressing with ink and paint. Good heavy weight. Lots of arm mobility. Sleeves have hand-stitched thumb holes, because at 30", these sleeves will hide your hands if you are 6' tall. Ask about alteration for your size or custom orders like this. If this doesn't sell by the summer, look for it at Burningman. I will be wearing it. =: Medium, Long 36-40" hip circumference 32/36" waist/ chest circumference 30" arm length 18-10" sleeve taper shoulder to cuff 6" shoulder length 17-19" neckline circumference 39" length Original design, only one of it's kind Reconstructed from up-cycled materials Sturdy construction Comfortable and stylish My style is Influenced by subcultures, but not confined by them. I integrate elements of Punk, DIY, Goth/ Industrial, Indie, Hippie, Grunge, World, Retro-vintage- whatever. I mix and match, re-contextualize, and play with the standards of fashion to create something a little low-brow and high-brow at the same time. Each piece has a different focus, and is equally an artistic statement as well as something to wear. Designed and made in Portland, OR in an independent studio. Good for the planet and people. Support independent artists using ecologically responsible materials and processes. Up-cycling is a new term used for a specific type of recycling. It's actually one step ahead of recycling because rather than reprocess the materials, they are used as-is, also lending the unique character and design elements presented by found-objects and materials.

SATISFACTION

I try to describe the size and condition accurately. If the item didn't quite suit your fancy, ship it back and I will refund the item price. You have to pay shipping, so be sure to ask before you buy if you are unsure of the fit, condition, materials, etc.

WORKMANSHIP

I use quality materials and construction on every garment that I design. Some things are more delicate than others, so take care of your garment. If there's some problem with the workmanship, I'll either refund the shipping and item or pay shipping and repair it for you. Alternately, you can find your own solution, and I will offer an appropriate partial refund, to get around shipping inconvenience.
