THE QUICK AND THE DEAD are a cow-punk band from Austin Texas. If you love old school punk, outlaw country and sleezy rock and roll, then you 'll fuckin' love this shit!
Formed in January 2006, by Ronia Blake and Rhoades D'Ablo, after D'Ablo moved to Austin from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his city.
After writing songs together, the pair enlisted Chris Blades on drums and Kurtis Machler on bass, then recorded 6 songs, 2 of which were uploaded on myspace.com, soundclick.com, and punkrock.com, and the buzz started.
